The Furjan Edit
A full villa transformation inspired by Mediterranean architecture, natural materials, and a softer approach to contemporary living.
The project reimagines a standard developer villa through a series of architectural interventions, introducing improved flow, stronger sightlines, and spaces designed around modern family life. Curves, texture, and natural light were used throughout to soften the home’s original structure, creating a sense of calm and continuity from room to room.
A warm, restrained palette forms the foundation of the design. Honed stone, travertine, oak, plaster finishes, and linen textures are layered alongside bronze-framed glazing and internal windows, bringing depth, warmth, and connection between spaces. Rather than relying on contrast, the home is defined by tonal variation, material richness, and subtle detailing.
The layout was carefully reworked to introduce a true master suite, open-plan living spaces, a dedicated cinema room, bespoke joinery features, and a stronger relationship between the interior and garden. Each space was designed as part of a wider narrative, balancing architectural clarity with comfort and everyday functionality.
"The result is a home that feels both refined and relaxed, drawing influence from Mediterranean design while remaining firmly rooted in contemporary living."
